Previously, the absence of unified thresholds allowed low-cost equipment to damage anti-reflective coatings and degrade module performance.

 

GB/T 44264-2024 “General Technical Requirements for Photovoltaic Module Cleaning Robots” (Effective March 1, 2025): This foundational national standard defines classifications, dust removal rates, obstacle-crossing stability, and IP protection levels, establishing universal baseline requirements.

 

NB/T 11903.1-2025 “Technical Specifications for Dry-Cleaning Robots” (Effective June 18, 2026): This energy industry standard locks in the mainstream “waterless dry-cleaning” track, aligning perfectly with water-scarce scenarios in desert/Gobi regions and international markets.

 

SJ/T 12055-2025 “Technical Specifications for Photovoltaic Module Cleaning Robots” (Effective July 1, 2026): This MIIT electronics industry standard covers the entire chain—from classification structures and technical requirements to testing methods and inspection rules—forming a complete closed loop with the aforementioned standards.

Industry Impact: Non-compliant, “unregulated” equipment from lesser-known brands is rapidly exiting the market.
