Recently, the world’s largest single cell solar power station project in China, the Aldafura PV2 solar power station, has been fully completed.
Aldafura PV2 Solar Power Station is located in Aldafura PV2 Solar Power Station Project in the United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi. It is one of the largest single photovoltaic power stations in the world at present, and also a landmark EPC project in the green energy field under the “the Belt and Road” initiative in China.
The relevant departments in China have undertaken a series of tasks such as terrain and geological survey, design, equipment supply, civil engineering, installation, and commissioning of the project. At the same time, they are responsible for the two-year operation and maintenance of the power station, achieving comprehensive and integrated high standard services.
Project covers an area of 20 square kilometers, installed capacity of 2.1 gw, using the world advanced photovoltaic technology, equipped with nearly 4 million photovoltaic panels, 300000 pile foundation, 30000 sets of tracking bracket, cleaning robot more than 2000,8000 series type inverter, 180 box transformer and more than 15000 kilometers of cable, power station performance, power generation efficiency. As of mid-November 2023, the project has contributed 3.6 billion KWH of clean power to the UAE.
When completed and operational, the power station, it will provide electricity to 200,000 households, help ABU Dhabi reduce carbon emissions by 2.4 million tons per year, and increase the proportion of clean energy in the total energy structure of the UAE to more than 13%, thus contributing to the sustainable development of the UAE’s national energy economy.
